Dr. Sailendra Prasad Acharya (Folk Drama)
Dr Acharya is a Lecturer in Oriya
Literature and teaches in M Rampur College in
kalahandi district. He is a scholar in folk drama.
His area of doctoral research is Folk Drama in
kalahandi. Besides he is a critic of Oriya drama
and folk dance. His essays on Ghumura dance, “Singh
Baja” dance and performing Arts tradition
of M Rampur is noteworthy. He has been associated
with research work on Epics in kalahandi.
2. Dr. Rajendra
Padhi (Folk Music)
Dr Rajendra Padhi is a folklore
scholar contributing for the Folklore of Koraput
since last 15 years. He has conducted research
on Tribal music in Koraput and has been awarded
with a doctorate degree. His association in conducting
tribal research, and organizing seminar and workshop
has inspired many a young scholars. His collection
of oral epics from the tribal performers(parghania
and geet kudia)reveals the rich cultural heritage
of Koraput.
Presently Dr padhi teaches in Biju Patnaik College
, Kundra and engaged in folklore research in Koraput.
3. Dr. Ashok Kumar
Hota (Primary education and creativity)
Dr Hota is awarded a degree of
Ph. D from KuruKshetra University for his doctoral
study on Creativity in education. His essays on
creativity and Talent” is first publication.
Besides D r Hota writes in Oriya monthly, and
international journals on primary education and
children’s creativity.
Dr Hota teaches in Education department in Sinapali
College.
4. Dr. Chitrasen
Pasayat, Orissa Administrative Service (Sociologist
& Folklorist)
Dr Pasayat is a scholar of Sociology.
He achieved his Ph. D from Jawaharlal Nehru University
for his research work on Folk Culture in Sambalpur.Dr
pasayat has authored two books in Sociology published
by Rawat Publication. One of his essays on sociology
and anthropology on Oriya society and culture
has been published by Oriya gabesana parishad,
Cuttack.
5. Dr. Paramananda
Patel, Research Officer (Expert in tribal language)
Dr Patel is a research Officer
in Academy of Tribal Dialects and Culture, Bhubaneswar.
His main areas of research is on tribal language
and linguistics. He is also associated with the
writing of tribal primers in Orissa.
6. Sri Surendra
Kumar Mishra, (Bhunjia and Gond culture)
Sri Surendra Kumar Mishra is
a researcher on Gond and Bhunjia folklore. His
research work on Gond culture and folklore is
published in Academy of Tribal Dialects and Culture,
Orissa. His second work is on a primiticve tribe
Choktia Bhunjia. His intensive ethnographic research
on Choktia Bhunjia is published by the Academy
of Tribal Dialects and Culture, Bhubaneswar. Recently
Sri Mishra is working on Banjara folklore.
7. Sri Subash Chandra
Mishra, Tribal Research (Folk songs and Gond culture)
Sri Subash Chandra Mishra is
a welknown writer and Critic of Oriya regional
literature. His research on tribal freedom Fighter
Shaheed baga Pujari, Sri Rabi majhi, and Biswanath
Patnaik have been published in Oriya language.
His research on Desia poetry and recreation of
Desia poetry in Oriya verse is welaccepted by
the readers. He is the Secretary of Srusti O Srasta
in Umerkote Block Of Nawaarangpur district in
Orissa.
8. Sri Premlal Meher
(Folk and Tribal Drama)
Sri Premlal Meher is a scholar
on Folk drama in kalahandi.He is also associated
with research project the “Meriah “Human
Sacrifice by the Kondh”.His essays on tribal
drama and Meriah have been published in leading
journals of Orissa.
9. Sri Udaya Chandra
Mishra, Tribal Researcher,
An essayist on Koraput culture
and Folklore. He is associated with preparation
of tribal primers in Desia and has written about
30 papers on tribal folklore of Koraput. Is actively
involved in the movement of tribal education.
10.Sri Premsindhu
Herna (Orral Narratives)
Collected Bhunjia Folk narratives
and is now conducting research in Sambalpur University
on Bhunjia Folklore.
11. Sri Hrudananda
Singh Majhi, OAS, (MSW)
A Master in Social Work, and
also an Administrative Officer, Sri Majhi has
been the Special Officer in Bonda Development
Agency, and has contributed for the socio-economic
development of Bonda- a primitive tribe of Orissa.
